Prof. Harry Hausler is the Chief Executive Officer of TB HIV Care and has served on the board for six years. Harry is a family physician, HIV clinician and preventive medicine specialist with 28 years of international public health experience in implementing and evaluating integrated tuberculosis and HIV programs.

Harry has a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is an Associate Professor at the University of the Western Cape. Prior to working with TB HIV Care, Harry worked with the Global TB Programme of the World Health Organization in Geneva and as the National TB/HIV Technical Advisor in the South African Department of Health. He has also managed medical services in refugee camps in Rwanda and conducted TB/HIV and PMTCT research in Haiti.

Prof Hausler is the Chair of the Civil Society Forum of the Western Cape and Co-Chair of the Provincial Council on AIDS and TB, the Chair of the TB Prevention Task Team of the National TB Think Tank and a member of the Civil Society TB Task Team of SANAC, the National HIV Think Tank and the World Health Organization Civil Society Task Force on TB.
