TB HIV Care has learnt of a letter with false statements allegedly written by an employee of the organisation. The letter has been distributed via email and WhatsApp. The content of this letter has been reported to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (Hawks) of the South African Police Service (SAPS) for further investigation.

While TB HIV Care would prefer to let our good reputation speak for itself, this is to confirm the following:

• The author of the letter is not an employee of the organisation
• TB HIV Care does not condone or tolerate any form of corruption (misstatement of financials, nepotism, data manipulation) or racism
• The allegations against individuals mentioned in the email are false and defamatory

We are hopeful that the full truth will be revealed after the conclusion of the SAPS investigation.
